NASPAA Career Professionals Virtual Meeting, Network with your colleagues and discuss best practices. January 16 &17th 12-2pm ET

NASPAA’s annual Career Professionals Conference is designed to provide information about career paths for students in public administration and public policy programs, allow for networking among staff and faculty leading career development efforts at NASPAA schools, and learn about programs and best practices offered by NASPAA colleagues around the country.  

The 2024 meeting has been postponed to January 16 & 7th, 2025 12-3pm ET and will take place virtually. 

 

The format for the meeting will be:

  • Day 1: Panel, Break, Best Practice Breakout Rooms
  • Day 2: Panel, Break, Best Practice Breakout Rooms
    • 15 mins closing/reflections at the end of each day.

The panel topics will be:

  • Leveraging AI in Career Services
  • Navigating Federal Jobs During a Presidential Transition

 

Potential Best Practice Topics (Exact focus TBD):

  1. Best practices for supporting pre-service students
  2. Breaking into Local Government
  3. Integration of Alumni into Career Services
  4. Public Service in the Private Sector
  5. Supporting International Students in Career Services
