Why and how should I use the NASPAA online community?

The NASPAA online community will enhance the way our members interact with each other in several ways.

Newsletter and Email Blast Replacement

This platform will be used to distribute our newsletters and other email blasts. You will still receive the notification in your email inbox, but now there's also a place to look through previous messages.

Platform for Committees and Sections

Committees and sections now have an easier, more modern tool for discussions and file sharing. Each NASPAA committee and section will have its own "community" from which to operate. Committee discussions will be private and posts will automatically be archived. Section discussions will be public to the NASPAA membership. Both committee and sections will have access to a file share library to store operating guidelines, charges, notes and more.

Productive and Positive Discussions

Discussions within this online community should benefit NASPAA, its members, and its mission as a whole.

You can use this platform anytime for any of the following:

  • Asking for or offering guidance, advice, support or aid. NASPAA’s biggest strength is its community and network of brilliant individuals. Working together towards NASPAA’s mission is allowed and ENCOURAGED!
  • Contributing news and ideas relevant to NASPAA’s mission.
  • Promoting NASPAA programs and benefits to share success stories and encourage other members to participate. We always love seeing pictures from our event hosts and of new Pi Alpha Alpha student inductees.

You can even use this platform to post surveys and share job postings, but these require a NASPAA team member's involvement and approval. Contact a NASPAA staff person you know or email membership@naspaa.org.

Remember to always respect others and the purpose of this community. Please focus on the content of posts rather than on the people making them. Use the community to share successes, challenges, constructive feedback, questions, and goals instead of products or services that you provide. If you’ve found a product or service helpful, please share your experience with the group in a respectful way in order to extend the same opportunity to others.
