NASPAA Member Roles

NASPAA Relationship Types:

  • Principal Representative:
    • Each member institution must designate a principal representative who will receive official NASPAA communications and cast the program’s vote at the Annual Business Meeting. This person will be the main point of contact for NASPAA going forward. This person will have access to edit your institution's data/information in NASPAA’s online databases. Lastly, this person will be responsible for ensuring membership dues payments are completed on time.
  • Billing Contact
    • Contact to receive NASPAA invoices and billing inquiries in addition to the institution's principal representative.
  • Secondary Representative
    •  Each member is encouraged to designate a secondary representative who will serve as a backup recipient for all NASPAA communications. The secondary will receive the same communications as the principal representative but must always defer to the principal representative when taking any action on behalf of NASPAA. More details are included in the form.
  • Dean (if separate from Principal Representative)
    • Your dean may be copied on NASPAA communications regarding upcoming events and opportunities. However, the principal representative contact you provide will still be NASPAA's primary administrative and billing contact, as well as your institution's sole voting representative.
  • Undergraduate Program Contact
    • This person will be stored in NASPAA's database as the contact for your institution to receive communications related to undergraduate programs in addition to the principal representative. Such communications may include updates on exclusive NASPAA events, committees and sections related to public service undergraduate education.
  • Doctoral Program Contact
    • This person will be stored in NASPAA's database as the contact for your institution to receive communications related to doctoral programs in addition to the principal representative. Such communications may include updates on exclusive NASPAA events, committees and sections related to public service doctoral education.
  • Other faculty contacts.
