2026 Accreditation Institute Recap
The 2026 Accreditation Institute took place on September 30, 2026, as part of the 2026 NASPAA Global Conference. NASPAA staff have had time to reflect on the conversations that transpired during the event, and hope that all participants have gained valuable insights about NASPAA Accreditation and perspective on the discussions.
The 2026 Institute was facilitated by Dr. Judith Millesen (Nebraska Wesleyan University, University of Montana). The 2026-2027 COPRA Chair, Dr. Shaoming Cheng (Florida International University) and Fabiola Bachinelo, NASPAA Chief Accreditation Officer, were also in attendance. The day was divided into five sessions covering topics from tips to hosting a successful NASPAA Site Visit, to the accreditation review process, and a deep dive into the seven NASPAA Accreditation Standards. What did participants think of the 2026 Accreditation Institute?
- Approximately 92% agreed or strongly agreed that the Accreditation Institute provided tools to use in developing a Self-Study Report.
- 100% agreed or strongly agreed that the Accreditation Institute provided clear information about the NASPAA Accreditation Standards.
- Approximately 95% agreed or strongly agreed that they would recommend the NASPAA Accreditation Institute to a colleague from their own or another program.
