Update on Accreditation Review Deadlines

Dear colleagues,

As COPRA navigates how to best respond to the COVID-19 crisis, we remain steadfast in our responsibility to provide accredited programs with guidance, support, and a consistent and fair review process.

In an effort to support programs during the rapidly evolving situation, COPRA has adjusted the following deadlines:

• 2020 Self-Study Report: Extended to September 1, 2020. 

This extension is granted to all programs in the 2020-21 cohort free of charge. Programs submitting Self-Study Reports this summer will have the option of following either the 2017 Self-Study Instructions or 2019 Self-Study Instructions. Full implementation of the 2019 Standards begins with the 2021-22 cohort. 

• 2020 Eligibility Application: Extended to May 1 and September 1, 2020. 

COPRA understands the fast evolving nature of university responses to the pandemic and acknowledges that in response to the public health crisis most programs are managing large-scale changes to course delivery and faculty and student engagement. We will continue to monitor official guidance about the response to COVID-19 and be mindful of how it is impacting NASPAA members. (For more on NASPAA's response, refer here).
