Savannah State NVRD

Savannah State University

U Montana NVRD

University of Montana

University of Montana’s Voter and Civic Engagement Committee worked to organize a National Voter Registration Day event in front of Main Hall at the University of Montana. At the event, people could register to vote and complete their Census, something very important to our large and rural state. University of Montana mascot Monte the Bear came to cheer students on and get himself registered for the November election. At the NVRD event, students learned about the #GrizVote “I Voted” sticker contest, which was made possible through a Pi Alpha Alpha grant. The event was a success, and just one piece of the broader University of Montana voter and civic engagement activities that have taken place throughout the fall (including virtual debate watch parties, the creation of the 2020 Election Information website, a Missoula County satellite election office on campus, and more).
