Carmen Yulin Cruz, Mayor of San Juan, Puerto Rico, delivered Friday night's powerful keynote at the Georgia Railroad Freight Depot. As a Master of Science in Public Policy & Management (MSPPM), she connected education and her career as a public servant amid the disruption and aftermath of Hurricane Maria.

Opening plenary keynote, Yascha Mounk, (left), writer, academic, and public speaker discussed his latest work on the rise of populism and the crisis of liberal democracy. Andrea Young, Executive Director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Georgia, spoke at the NASPAA Awards Luncheon on Thursday. She shared her perspective growing up in Atlanta and her current work promoting policies to defend and extend civil and human rights.
