Participants must upload video submissions to ‘You Tube’ using any of the following formats: QuickTime .MOV, Windows .AVI, or .MPG files. ‘You Tube’ recommends the MPEG4 (Divx, Xvid) format at 320x240 resolution with MP3 audio for optimal quality.

Remember, if you haven’t shot, edited or uploaded a video to ‘You Tube’ that is not a problem or issue in participating. The chances are very good you know someone (friend, classmate, undergraduate, colleague, family) who has done this before and can assist or do it for you. Your topic choice, content, creativity, etc; are what matters. Not the technical stuff!

Videos can be submitted anytime until midnight, Sunday, June 15th, 2008. The winner will be selected by July 15 and announced at that time. 

What if I don’t have a video camera or have never shot or uploaded a video?
Not a problem. Why? You most likely have friends or classmates who have a video camera and can do these things. Or use a digital camera as many now have a video function and so do some cell phones. More important is your idea and how you bring it to video reality. 

Can I work with others?
Yes, you can work with others. Team collaboration is encouraged. But only one person wins the prize money, etc. We will list the names of all those who contributed to your video on our websites, emails, award etc. 

Do I have to register on You Tube?
Yes. If you are not already a member, you'll need to register on ‘You Tube’. It's free and takes less than 1 minute.

Your Submission must be your own original work and, by submitting your Submission, you represent and warrant that: it is your sole original work; and you have obtained any and all consents, approvals or licenses required for you to submit your Submission (including obtaining the written consent of all 3rd parties, where applicable). 

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NASPAA, its board members, staff, schools, programs from and against any and all claims, losses, costs, damages, liabilities, losses, costs and expenses (including, without limitation, attorneys; fees) which arise out of any breach of this agreement or any of these covenants, agreements, obligations, rights, representations or warranties set forth herein. You waive any claim of infringement (including without limitation copyright, trademark, patent, trade name, trade secret, etc.) against NASPAA, its board members, staff, schools, programs based upon access to or use of your Submission. NASPAA is not obligated to use the Submission or may choose to do so at a later date.

APPROPRIATE CONTENT: All Submissions will be reviewed for content before being published or judged to ensure it does not contain prohibited, or inappropriate content as determined by the NASPAA, in its sole discretion, and if so determined will be disqualified and will not be published or considered for a prize.

Your video submission must not contain material which is violent, pornographic or otherwise obscene, illegal or racially or otherwise morally offensive.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: All Entrants must complete their one page application and submit a video to be considered in the YTPPC competition. Finalists are solely responsible for any taxes on their respective prizes, and will receive an IRS Form 1099 for the value of their prize. No substitution of prize is offered, except at the sole discretion of the NASPAA. Prizes are non-transferable.

By participating, entrants agree that NASPAA, its board members, staff, schools, programs, agents and representatives, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies and legal advisors are not responsible or liable for, and shall be released and held harmless from: (i) telephone, electronic, hardware or software program, network, Internet, or computer malfunctions, failures or difficulties of any kind; (ii) any condition caused by events beyond the control of Sponsor that may cause the Contest to be disrupted or corrupted; (iii) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Contest; (iv) any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with or resulting from participation in the Contest, or acceptance of the prize, including without limitation, claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy. 

NASPAA reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, extend, or suspend the Contest should computer virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other causes beyond its control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Contest. In such case, judges may, at their discretion, select the winners from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by NASPAA. NASPAA reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual(s) it finds to be tampering with or attempting to influence the entry process or the operation of the competition.

NASPAA makes the final determination as to which Submissions are eligible to take part in this Contest and be considered for a Finalist Prize. Certain Submissions may be featured from time to time on the Web Site during the Contest Entry Period, in NASPAA’s sole discretion; being selected as a featured Submission is unrelated to the Judging Criteria and does not guarantee selection as a Finalist in the Contest.

In the event that an insufficient number of contestants enter and submit a qualified video NASPAA reserves the right to cancel, postpone or otherwise extirpate the competition.
