Jim Oliver serves as General Manager of the Tarrant Regional Water District, a position he has held since 1986. The TRWD operates a water supply system consisting of seven reservoirs that supply drinking water to 1.5 million people in ten counties in the North Texas area. The district also operates and maintains Fort Worth's flood control system. Mr. Oliver is a past president and board member of the Texas Water Conservation Association. In addition to the Master of Public Administration degree, he holds a B.S. degree in education from UNT. Because of his contributions over the past 25 years to city administration and water management, he was recognized in March by the Department of Public Administration as the outstanding MPA Alumnus for 2000-01.
