The following data are from institutional responses to NASPAA’s Fall 2008 Enrollment and Academic Year 2007-2008 Degrees Awarded Survey, administered by NASPAA in spring 2008. The data reflect only participating NASPAA institutional members. Of the 268 NASPAA institutional members as of spring 2008, 159 responded to the survey as of July 1, 2008, giving the survey a response rate of 59%.

* Several institutional respondents offer
multiple master’s degrees. Joint/Dual Degrees Offered: 2007-2008 The most common degree
offered jointly with the MPA/MPP is the JD. These joint/dual degrees are
offered by 73 (46%) of 159 institutional members that responded. Other
joint/dual master’s degrees offered with an MPA/MPP include, but are not
limited to, Social Work, Business Administration, Urban Planning, Regional
Planning, Law, Criminal Justice, International Affairs, Nursing, Doctor of
Medicine, Mental Health, Public Health, Divinity, Latin American Studies,
and Environmental Science.

Joint/Dual Degrees Awarded: 2007-2008 From September 2007 to August 2008, the responding NASPAA institutional members awarded a total of 221 joint/dual degrees. Among the 159 members that responded, 73 (46%) awarded one or more joint/dual degrees.
