The
following data are from institutional responses to NASPAA’s Fall 2008
Enrollment and Academic Year 2007-2008 Degrees Awarded Survey,
administered by NASPAA in spring 2008. The data reflect only participating
NASPAA institutional members. Of the 268 NASPAA institutional members
as of spring 2008, 159 responded to the survey as of July 1, 2008, giving
the survey a response rate of 59%.

to NASPAA’s Fall 2008 Enrollment and Academic Year 2007-2008 Degrees Awarded
Survey, administered by NASPAA in spring 2008. The data reflect only participating
NASPAA institutional members. Of the 268 NASPAA institutional members as of
spring 2008, 159 responded to the survey as of July 1, 2008, giving the survey a
response rate of 59%.
However, some
institutions did not provide the information on diversity of students awarded
master’s degrees in the academic year 2007-2008. Of the
159 respondents, members offered a total of 47 doctoral
degrees. Of the
47 respondents offering a doctoral degree, 34 responded to the
gender question and 29 responded to the race/ethnicity question.
