INPAE

The Inter-American Network for Public Administration Education

The Inter-American Network for Public Administration Education (INPAE) is designed to create the infrastructure for democratic governance and development in Latin America by building capacity for public administration education, NGO management, and public policy education.  INPAE supports partnerships between institutions of public administration in North America and Latin America. INPAE has significant participation by public administration institutions in Latin America and North America, as well as endorsements from international development organizations.  Its partnership projects and other activities are funded by grants to NASPAA from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation and from USAID  through the Association Liaison Office for University Cooperation in Development (ALO) (administered by the American Council of Education.)

INPAE Project and activities: 2000-2003

INPAE Activities: 2003

On February 11-12, 2003, NASPAA, INPAE, and the Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (EBAPE), Fundacao Getulio Vargas, co-sponsored an International Workshop on Program and Policy Evaluation in Rio de Janeiro.
This workshop attracted participants from about 25 universities in Latin and
North America. Following the workshop, an INPAE organizational meeting was
conducted on February 12 to adopt by-laws for INPAE and to take the initial
steps to organize INPAE formally as a network of graduate schools of public
administration, management, and policy in the Americas.
