International City/County Management Association (ICMA), INPAE and NASPAA Collaboration: 2004

NASPAA is promoting the involvement of INPAE representatives in the Virtual Training Group for Governance in Latin America supported by the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), which is the Technical and Executive Secretariat of the International Forum for Cooperation on Local Government in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC Forum). In early 2004, NASPAA conducted an electronic survey of INPAE institutional members’ virtual/online training programs for local, state and federal governments and for NGOs and citizens. The results of this survey were shared with the ICMA-LAC Forum, which is now funding the participation of three INPAE representatives from Latin America at the March 11-12 Virtual Training Working Group for Governance in Latin America meetings in Washington, D.C. These three INPAE representatives include INPAE President Oscar Oszlak, from the Universidad de Buenos Aires; Carlos Longo, Executive Director of Online Education at the Fundacao Getulio Vargas Foundation in Brazil; and Renzo Rosal, Dean of the School of Political Sciences at the Universidad Rafael Landívar from Guatemala.
