GIPA

Project with the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs
(2001-2003)

This project gives support to the graduate public administration program at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA) in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia. Approximately 90 Georgian students will attend GIPA to receive a master’s degree in public administration. The National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA), in collaboration with NASPAA, is recruiting and sending American faculty members and practitioners to teach GIPA's core curriculum in public administration. The project aims to broaden the base and improve the quality of GIPA's institutional support and to increase GIPA's immediate pool of faculty. Through instructional and curricular enhancement, the project is assisting  the Republic of Georgia in the reform and professionalization of its administration of government institutions. Click here for a description of the courses that constitute the GIPA curriculum.
