Welcome to the Initiatives section of the website – as you can see, NASPAA projects are quite varied. The Journal of Public Affairs Education (J-PAE) is sent as a benefit to faculty in member programs and is available to individual subscribers. It is the only journal dedicated to pedagogical issues in public affairs education. Pi Alpha Alpha Honor Society is the honor society for excellent students in public affairs education. NASPAA member schools in good standing are eligible to create a Pi Alpha Alpha Chapter for their students. NASPAA’s international projects are focused on strengthening democratic governance abroad through creating networks and providing technical assistance. The Small Communities Outreach Project on Environmental Issues (SCOPe) uses our domestic networks to strengthen civic engagement and enables faculty at member schools to help build the capacity of small communities to deal with regulatory change.
