| What do you enjoy about your job? What aspects of your job are the most exciting or interesting? | ||

enjoy dealing with the political environment in
Washington, DC, and being able to serve as a
liaison between the United Nations and the
Washington community. |

| Why did you choose to pursue an MPA/MPP degree? | ||
| It
gave me an opportunity to apply my interest in
political science in a more tangible, "real
world" manner. |
||

| How did you select your graduate school? | ||
| I
already knew and like the MPP professors at Duke
and they were willing to provide fellowship
funding to support my studies. |
||

| How do you feel your MPA/MPP is helping you to make a difference? | ||
| I
am extremely proud of the role the UN has
played, and will be playing to address the
genocide in Darfur. My MPP skills helped me
understand political dynamics, communicate to
decision makers, and affect the policy
making-process, so humanitarian goals can be met
in places like Darfur. |
