|
||
| What do you enjoy about your job? What aspects of your job are the most exciting or interesting? | ||
| I
like to solve challenging problems, and I have a lot
of them in my job. Ukrainian legislation is rather
complex and controversial, and sometimes it is
difficult to find solutions that would ideally suit
the client, but I do everything possible to achieve
it. |

|
||
| Why did you choose to pursue an MPA/MPP degree? | ||
| I
think that MPPA degree allowed myself to broaden my
horizons not only in terms of conceptual educational
approach, but also it allowed me to look at the
world from another, not legal standpoint. I am very
happy that my MPPA program has met my expectations. |

|
|
||
| How did you select your graduate school? | ||
| I
did not participate in the selection process, as the
school was selected by the Edmund Muskie Fellowship
selection committee. |
||
|
|
||
| How do you feel your MPA/MPP is helping you to make a difference? | ||
| Prior
to MPPA I knew what the law allowed and what was not
and gave advice to the clients accordingly. Now,
knowing better economic concepts I can identify what
is the ultimate goal of the client that might lie
beyond the initial request for advice and this
allows me to provide better legal service. I am
proud of being a part of the group of individuals
that provide legal services pro bono for unwealthy,
elderly and disabled people. Recently I have passed
Kyiv city bar exam that will allow me to represent
my clients, including pro bono, in the courts. |
