| What do you enjoy about your job? What aspects of your job are the most exciting or interesting? | ||
| [I
enjoy] working with people from different cultures,
background, social groups, work experiences, etc. |
| Why did you choose to pursue an MPA/MPP degree? | ||
| After
studying chemical engineering (which I did not enjoy
that much), I decided to finally do what I had
always had in mind but never did: public policy. I
had once dreamed of being an ambassador. |
| How did you select your graduate school? | ||
| [I
came to UT Austin on an exchange program while
studying chemistry. I decided to stay and apply to
the LBJ. I chose the school because of its location
and the people I knew there. Although I think I
would never have applied, if it had been a
Republican school ... Advice to others? My two years
at LBJ were the most interesting of my life, and so
far, the ones I have enjoyed the most. Go for it! |

| How do you feel your MPA/MPP is helping you to make a difference? | ||
| It
had opened my mind. I see things differently,
whether it is about world news on TV, about private
business matters or about day-to-day life. |
| How would you characterize your personality? | ||

Flexible * Fast-paced * Curious * |
