Paul Bridgewater is the President and CEO of the Detroit Area Agency on Aging. He began his tenure at DAAA as a Contract Management Specialist and later, as Supervisor of Employment Services before being appointed as Executive Director in 1986. While at DAAA Bridgewater has established one of the largest Holiday Meals on Wheels programs in the country, implemented a state-sponsored Emergency Pharmaceutical Assistance Program that provides free prescription drugs, and most recently, spearheaded the development of innovative programs and services under the Detroit Empowerment Zone's (EZ) Family Elder Network initiative. Bridgewater has served as treasurer of the National Caucus and Center on Black Aged, as a Board member of the National Area Agency on Aging Association of Washington, D.C., and as to the White House Conference on Aging in 1995.
