Christopher Pollitt is a professor of Public Management at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Netherlands. He also serves as Scientific Director of the Netherlands Institute of Government. Professor Pollitt is internationally recognized as an expert in public management issues. In 2004, Mr. Pollitt received the Hans-Sigrist prize recognizing his research in the field of public governence. He has written several books and articles on the subject. He has also served as a consultant and advisor on numerous projects untaken by organizations such as the World Bank and the EU Commission. Pollitt says of his work, “When giving management advice to organizations such as the EU, the World Bank, and the OECD, I have learned a lot. In this, I need to be a bit of a historian, a bit of a sociologist, and a bit of a political scientist. And that’s fun!”
