Self Study Submission Protocols
Electronic Submission Protocols and Information
FORMAT
COPRA requires that schools submit Volume I and Volume II of the self
study as a .PDF file (the Adobe Acrobat format), with file name
containing the university name, document title and cohort. For example,
Nanking University would submit its PDF file as:
Nanking U Self Study Vol. I 04-05.pdf
Nanking U Self Study Vol. II 04-05.pdf
The same deadlines apply to the printed copies of Volume I and the PDF
file of Volume II and Volume II: everything must be received at
copra@naspaa.org by August 15.
Please note that large PDF files may not transmit well via email, or be
blocked by anti-spam filters. Please send your file with a “receipt
requested”, or if you have any concerns about file size, please burn the
PDF file onto a CD-Rom and mail it to us.
If your program does not have the ability to convert Self Study files into
PDF format, please contact COPRA's Managing Director (copra@naspaa.org) for information and assistance.
SECURITY and “SIGNATURE”
NASPAA asks that the final submission of your Volume II document be sent
from the email account of the NASPAA Principal Representative in your
program. No further “signature” from the Principal Representative is
required, but in submitting from his or her account, NASPAA considers the
Principal Representative to be a signatory to the application for peer
review.
STORAGE and ACCESS
NASPAA will store all electronic self studies indefinitely. At this time,
NASPAA will only be storing paper submissions for 8 years, and may reduce
this further over time.
In the interest of public accountability and research, COPRA strongly
encourages all programs to release all or part of their self studies to
the public domain. In your cover email, please indicate if you are willing
to allow NASPAA to use excerpts of your self study for research and
purposes of assisting new applicants. Please stipulate any chapters or
sections for exclusion. NASPAA assumes that all schools’ statements of
mission and objectives will be in the public domain.
Thank you for your participation in the NASPAA/COPRA peer review process.
