Home > NASPAA > Members & Professional Partners > Criteria for Full Membership Institutional membership in NASPAA is open to academic units (e.g., colleges, schools, divisions, departments, programs, centers, institutes) within institutions of higher education that have been accredited by US regional accrediting bodies or their equivalent are eligible for regular institutional membership. Such programs must have a substantial commitment to the purpose of the Association and have organized separately identified curricula leading to professional graduate degrees in public affairs and administration or to relevant baccalaureate and pre-baccalaureate degrees. Membership does NOT mean that a program is accredited by NASPAA or that NASPAA has made any judgment about the quality of its academic program. However, regular institutional members are eligible to apply for accreditation, after meeting certain conditions.
