In Memory of Bernard H. Ross 


NASPAA joins American University in mourning the loss of Bernard Ross, professor emeritus of government and public administration at American University, on July 31, 2010. Dr. Ross served as a professor of government and public administration for 38 years, including 14 years as department chair. He directed the School’s Center for State and Local Government, the Urban Affairs Program, and AU’s World Capitals Program, the forerunner of AU Abroad.

He was active in NASPAA for many years, serving on the Local Government Management Education Committee, the Nonprofit Section, and the Policy Issues Committee. Memorial contributions may be sent to The Bernard H.
