The Data Task Force

At the last meeting of the NASPAA Executive Council, on October 21, 2006, the Council approved the creation of a "Data Task Force," which was charged with responsibility to:

...Consider the data NASPAA would like to gather to help inform member schools and the public. The main objectives are to:

1. Identify appropriate, relevant and verifiable measures of the educational quality and characteristics of public affairs programs for NASPAA to collect from member schools.

2. Offer alternative mechanisms for NASPAA to employ to collect and make available the designated data.

A preliminary report will be made available to the NASPAA Executive Council by April 2007, and final action is not to be taken until there is full discussion by the membership at the 2007 NASPAA conference.
